WELCOME ! We hope you feel the warm welcome that comes to you from the church family here at Parkside Community UCC.
The United Church of Christ is a merger denomination with historical confessional roots in the Congregational, Reformed, and Lutheran traditions. We are a denomination passionate about missions and spreading love and justice for all. To learn more about us, visit our denominational website at ucc.org . Parkside Community UCC is an Open and Affirming congregation. We strive to make everyone feel at home, as we say in the United Church of Christ, "No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here." Our worship services are fairly informal with an honest attempt to merge our traditions with new ways of worshiping our God. Children play an integral part of our community of faith. They are welcome to be part of the entire worship experience and can often be seen lighting the candles and taking up the morning offering. At Parkside Community UCC, we welcome all to participate in our ministries. Faith Formation takes place every Sunday at 9am for all ages, September thru May (during the school year). We use a couple of resources that help our folks study the morning scripture seriously before coming to worship, and we also look for ways to help our people practice their faith in daily life. We welcome questions and encourage you to share your doubts so we can explore our ever changing faith together. |
Mission is at the heart of Parkside Community UCC. We serve as an active supporter of Family Promise of Ozaukee County, an organization providing shelter to homeless families.
Parkside is proud to be one of five founding and sponsoring churches for the Lighthouse ecumenical youth ministry, which connects middle and high school students with Jesus and each other through fun activities and missions. We make a conscious effort to be involved with mission that is close to home and across the world. Globally missions we support include Heifer Project International, Church World Services, Our Church's Wider Mission, The Christmas Fund, Neighbors in Need, One Great Hour of Sharing, and United Church Camps. Our beautiful building is used as a Senior Meal Site by the Ozaukee County ADRC once a week, we share space with a non denominational ministry, A Place to Be Spirituality Center, and our lower level is used by the Kettle Moraine YMCA Before and After School Program. If you are in search of a church home or just looking for a place to worship once this week, please come and join us. Our worship service is held at 10am on Sundays. All services are followed by Coffee and Fellowship Time in our Fireside Room. |
